Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

We offer a safe supportive sober living environment for Women to grow into comfortable sobriety. We use a peer support recovery model and have residents  participate in the running of the house holding different positions  with a live in house manager to oversee and keep our residents moving forward in their recovery.

What all do you provide?

Everything that the house needs to function is provided by the house at no additional cost to the resident. Residents are asked to provide their own food and toiletries. Everything from spices for cooking, sugar and sweetener for coffee,  to laundry detergent is covered. The house is fully furnished. We have comfortable beds with bedding provided, internet, home phone,  house computer, and streaming apps for the residents to use.

What are the costs?

New residents moving in  will have a one -time nonrefundable move in fee of $200.  Weekly shared expenses per member are $200 a week. We ask that residents have the move in fee and first weeks rent upon move in date.

What kind of recovery program do residents have to work?

Working a program of recovery is mandatory. We highly encourage 12 step meeting attendance as a primary meeting source at whichever type you prefer and encourage residents to utilize any and all resources available so that they can find the path to recovery that works for them.

Are you licensed?

We do not hold any licenses as we do not offer any treatment services at the house.  We are a  transitional living option for individuals to use to gain the skills  and time necessary to get to where they can live sober.  We recommend a treatment center or detox program before moving in if you are struggling with substance abuse.

What are your rules?

The  main rules put simply are 1) Do not use any mind altering substances 2) pay your share of expenses on time 3) follow the rules and don't be disruptive.  A full break down of rules and guidelines will be given to a resident upon moving in and gone over in their interview.
We do drug test residents and have random pill counts to make sure that medicine is being taken properly. Medication must be locked up in a resident's room in a lock box at all times.

How do I get in?

On our home page there a button that says APPLY.  This will take you to the application that you can fill in online and will be sent where we can see it. We suggest you send a follow up email to  lotushouseofhope@gmail.com.  Please be sure to have a good contact number on your application so we can get back in touch with you and if you are currently in a facility please make sure if there is an identification # needed that it is included as well.

Is there financial help?

We are self-pay.  We do not take insurance due to no medical services being provided. There is an organization called CLEAN CAUSE  where residents are encouraged to apply for a scholarship at  cleancause.com. Please note that we are not affiliated with CLEAN CAUSE and by applying it does not guarantee  funds.

Do you accept MAT?

We do not discriminate on which path to recovery a person choses. Residents on medically asisted treatment (MAT) are welcome and encouraged to apply.
